OLPC: First thoughts

Got two, one for each of my children, as part of the buy one, get one for some impoverished child in the third world program.

I really want to like it but just can't. Aside from some clever industrial design, it's very limited, difficult to use, and there's nothing fun on it.

We have a lot of computers around the house with different operating systems, configurations, etc. and my kids couldn't figure out the OLPC.

I hope they figure out a way to get one of the mainstream OS's, particularly OS X. Then I think it would be lot more interesting.
